TOURISM IN INDIA
TOURISM IN INDIA is important for the country's economy and is growing rapidly.The World Travel and Tourism Council calculated that tourism generated 9.2% of India's GDP in 2018 and supported 42.673 million jobs, 8.1% of its total employment. Almost 10 to 11 million tourists visited India spending over 1800 billion. This may attributed to easy access to e-visas,transportation an other government schemes. There are 28 states and 8 Union territories each have different identity and so many of touristial sites.
India has much to offer to Travelers. It is a land of hills,rivers,plateaus,plains,beaches,deltas and deserts. It has a diverse history,culture and tradition which is reflected in its art,music and dance when you travel from place to place. It also houses many luxurious hotel and resorts to cater to its booming travel and tourism industry.
India offers luxury travel to its travelers and tourists. There are three basic forms of tourism:Domestic tourism,Inbound tourism and Outbound tourism. In 2018, the state with the highest domestic tourists was Tamil Nadu, with over 385 million tourist visits. The Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Report 2019 ranked India 34th out 140 countries overall.
India is a vibrant land where both the traditional and modern worlds meet. The world's seventh largest nation by area and the second largest in terms of population, India boasts a rich heritage that's the result of centuries. In India tourist have diversity travelers include the opportunity to experience an array of sacred sites and spiritual encounters, while nature lovers will enjoy its sun-washed beaches,national parks and exciting wildlife sanctuaries.
The Ministry of Tourism designs national policies for the development and promotion of tourism. In the process, the Ministry Consults and collaborates with other stakeholders in the sector including various central ministries,agencies, state government, union territories and private sector representatives.
WORLD HERITAGE SITES
There are 38 World Heritage Sites in India that are recognised by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation [UNESCO] as of August 2019. These are places of imprtance of cultural or natural heritage as described in the UNESCO World Heritage Convention established in 1972.
And India has thousands and thousands of touristial sites next.......
